PROSPERITY PHARMACY COMPLETES ACCREDITATION WITH ACHC
Fairfax, VA – September 21, 2009 – Prosperity Pharmacy proudly announces its accreditation status awarded by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for the services of Pharmacy, Home/Durable Medical Equipment and Medical Supply Provider.
ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation which is certified to ISO 9001:2008 standards, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care. Referring to the value of accreditation, ACHC President Tom Cesar indicated, “The survey process leads an organization to examine its policies and procedures continually to clarify its strengths and improve its weaknesses.”
Accreditation is a voluntary activity where healthcare organizations submit to peer review of their internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards. By attaining accreditation, Prosperity Pharmacy has demonstrated its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence in its products, services and customer satisfaction.
As the only independently owned specialty pharmacies in the DC Metropolitan area, pharmacist husband and wife team Frank and Lisa Odeh founded the Prosperity Pharmacy Group in 2003 and expanded to four locations. Prosperity Specialty Pharmacy focuses on two areas of pharmacy service –personalized pharmaceutical care for patients requiring complex treatments and customized prescription compounding for patients and animals.

Frank has over 15 years of experience in pharmacy care, and has focused much of his work on patient counseling and education in complex disease states, including infertility, Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Lisa Odeh has over 20 years of pharmacy experience, and is a certified compounding pharmacist. She has also completed extensive training in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (bHRT).
