At Prosperity Specialty Pharmacy, our Account Coordinators will help you to understand your insurance coverage and maximize your healthcare benefits. We also coordinate closely with your doctor’s office, to make sure all of the necessary paperwork is completed and submitted, in order to expedite the prior authorization process that most insurances typically require for such complex therapies.
Medicare coverage
Many of the transplant drugs are covered by Medicare. Prosperity Pharmacy files claims to Medicare on behalf of patients. Patients are responsible for the 20 percent of the cost not covered by Medicare, if no secondary insurance is available.
Prosperity Specialty Pharmacy also accepts all major insurance plans, including Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC Medicaid.
