Our pharmacists have extensive experience in pain management strategies, and partner with physicians to meet the needs of their patients, and develop treatment regimens that result in optimal pain control.

Pain management is essential because even when the underlying disease process is stable, uncontrolled pain prevents patients from working productively, enjoying recreation, or taking pleasure in their usual roles in the family and society. Chronic pain may have a myriad of causes and perpetuating factors, and therefore can be much more difficult to manage than acute pain, requiring a multidisciplinary approach and customized treatment protocols to meet the specific needs of each patient.

Prosperity Pharmacy maintains a complete inventory of hard-to-find, commercially available pain medications. We also have a state-of-the-art compounding laboratory and can make pain medications in custom doses, sustained-release forms, sugar-free formulations, or other specialized products.

Our goal as pain management specialists is to increase compliance in pain therapy by providing many specialized dosage forms. Some patients may not be able to swallow or maybe they have low muscle mass which prohibits the use of injectable drugs. Clinical monitoring: Through personal contact with our patients, our clinical staff monitors patients for side effects, safety, adherence and drug interactions throughout their entire course of therapy. We want to make sure patients are not having discomfort from side effects that might impact their ability to continue the prescribed treatment safely.

Refill reminder program: Timing is critical with pain management medications. We reach out to patients to plan for the prompt pick up or delivery of the next cycle of medications. And because these drugs can have many side effects and drug interactions, we stay in contact with patients to ensure safety and compliance.
